So yes. That was my night. I got drenched pretty badly...it ruined my hair and make up and everything BUT that didn't stop me from having heaps of fun that night =)
Really sick today. *sniff sniff* Runny nose, coughing....and I have camp on Monday too!
Ah well. So disappointed I can't go to Linda's bday party today :( I hope she'll forgive me.

Anyway. Until we meet again ;D

Kute Kitteh Maru

I know kitten videos are cliche and common but I really want to show everyone these videos because they're not only unique but they're also REALLY CUTE (and Japanese?)
Basically, they're videos of a kitten named Maru who lives in Japan. I'm not sure if Maru is a girl or a boy but it really doesn't make much of a difference. Check out Maru's channel for more!

Big Pants is Love

So I was twitter-stalking again today (out of boredom and to celebrate my "finishing of a few more of my assignment models") and I came across a tweet by Vogue Italia about the autumn/winter 2011 pre-collections. They were promoting the Seventies Pants look and being the curious girl that I am, I decided to take a look.
Now to be frank, I have never been a fan of flare pants, baggy pants or pants in general (no, I do not walk around pant-less) so I was really skeptical about whether or not I'll like the collection. But I DID like them.
So here's a few of my favourites from the collection.

Emilio Pucci
These pants just make me want to wear them.I love the grey (I'm a big fan of grey) and I would definitely wear something like this going out, going to uni OR to work.

Alexander McQueen
I don't usually like wearing navy pants because it reminds me of school uniforms but I would definitely wear these (not just because it's McQueen). I don't really appreciate the top but only because I don't think it's my style. It looks fantastic on the model though and I'm sure it'll look amazing on other people.

Louis Vuitton
LV, you've done it again. No wonder you're my mum's favourite brand (I'm not that into high-end brands). This whole look is eye-catching and very posh seventies. It's something you would wear both casually and formally because it's that good.

Salvatore Ferragamo
I think the most appealing feature (for me) of this design is the colour and softness of the fabric. It definitely accentuates the model's femininity. My mum actually likes this too and told me she had something like this back in the seventies

So yeah, that's all for now. Work tomorrow! Can't wait to earn more money. I need to satisfy my shopping addiction ;)

Taking "care"

So yeah, I read over some of my past blog posts and they're frankly a pain to read.
I usually just write and post without editing so they all turn out rather...(how would I put it)...grammatically incorrect?
So from now on, I'll take more care into posting. I'll start editing my posts so that it's not a pain to read.

On a happier note, one more week of easter break left for me =)!!

Rocking the Sydney Royal Easter Show 2011!!

Howdy ho everybody! Here's a post about my trip yesterday to the Sydney Royal Easter Show. I went with my family and family friends this time because we were staying over at their house. Around lunchtime my parents randomly came up with the idea of going to the Easter Show to make up for 'not going' on Saturday because of the rain.
I was quite happy about it so we got ready and headed off to Olympic Park Stadium around 5:30. I have never been to the Easter Show at night even though it was a good time to go because the tickets were much, much cheaper ;D!
Unfortunately, that means we missed out on a lot of the day shows but that's okay with me since they usually have the same shows every year!

For me, the car ride was a painful one because I had a stomach ache AND a head ache throughout. But being the narcissistic camwhore that I am, it didn't stop me from taking pictures of myself in the car.
But see my thick coat and scarf? It was SUPER COLD that day and I was the only warm one because everyone else didn't wear much. When we left the house, my dad called me a "sheep" and I think that basically sums up what I looked like that day. Fluffy, white and sheepish...literally. But the joke's on them because by the end of the day I was really thankful that I was wearing so much. My coat was SO SOFT and fluffy that I really did feel like a sheep.

Anyway, back to the Sydney Royal Easter Show! Before we begin...here's a little history ;D

The only old Easter Show photo available online...
"The Sydney Royal Easter Show, also known as the Royal Easter Show or simply The Show, is an annual show held in Sydney Australia over two weeks around Easter. It is run by the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales and was first held in 1823. Queen Victoria (1837–1901), awarded the society and its show the right to use the word "Royal" in its name. The Show is historically an event where "city meets country" and the rural industries of Australia can be shown and celebrated once a year."
- wikipedia

Apparently, it's also the second largest event to be held in Australia every year therefore it's a pretty big event. I go almost every year, usually with friends but this year things were a little different. I think the last time I went was with Queenie, Cinney and Annie.

As for the shows within The Show...I personally didn't have much interest in them. I mean, I don't really want to see lumberjacks sweating while chopping wood or watch shearers shear sheep. But I guess there must be a lot of people who like it seeing as the shows are usually packed full of people.

Last year, the best show I watched was the Flying Pigs where the pigs had to climb onto a ramp and jump over a pool of water onto a mat on the other side. It was kind of cruel but fun to watch at the same time.

So THIS YEAR, we went at night and I must say that everything was a whole new experience. I painted my nails HOT PINK to rise to the occasion.

Jokes...it's got nothing to do with it :(
Gina (left) and my sister Jamie (right) were super excited!

We passed a lot of Show Bag stands while we headed off to the amusement park area and we had to exert a lot of self control to not run off and get a gazillion show bags. I know I'm too old for them...BUT I STILL LIKE THEM?! Don't judge.

Most of these show bags were around $20 to $25 each...but the confectionery ones were really cheap with one brand selling 6 bags for only $10.
By the way...MEGA LOL at the lady to the right. If looks could kill..right?

Next we arrived at the Kids World (the amusement park area for the kids) and we decided it was time to get ourselves some DINNER!

We decided to buy some "twisted chips". And they were not joking when they said..."twisted chips"

TADAH!!!
Twisted Chips!

We actually had a lot of trouble unravelling the chips...but ultimately we gave up and decided to just rip them out.

CORN ON A STICK! YAY! I love sweetcorn...especially the ones lightly buttered on the outside.

And don't forget beverage :)
See how fluffy and sheep-like I look?

We didn't actually get to go on this ride but it was fun looking at it.

It's Spongeee Bobbu! I think the one next to him is King Neptune from the Little Mermaid.
I was so excited when I saw Spongebob and I ran ahead of the others just to take a picture of him.
Pity Patrick wasn't there though =(

It's been a while since I went on a Merry Go Round.
Half way through the show my sister got upset because she wasn't tall enough for some of the rides. The poor darling was so upset I decided to go to one of the game stands to win her something.

The man at the stand was pretty weird. He kept making jokes that I didn't find funny. He was also very persistent.I guess he was just trying to be friendly...but I felt so intimidated.

Here we are...going back to the Snowie place for refills..

And finally, the best park...SHOW BAG. The HK show bag was probably the best one you could get and the most worthwhile. It was really big and heavy (thus the picture of me struggling to carry it) and I liked everything in it.
I had half my face covered because I was trying not to laugh at the couple in the background.
They were wearing identical fairy halos and the guy was extremely macho so the halo seriously didn't go well with his overall...look.

And the night ended with the Dairy Farmer's Fireworks!
My feet were killing me at this point.

So yes...in general it was a fun night =)

Our Easter Show Haul

By the end of the night we got two show bags. A Hello Kitty and a Betty Boop. My mum said Betty had a "hot body" so we got it for her.

Okay...time to go back to bed. I'm sick.

You have been warned...

You have been warned...by Lord Voldemort

This is just something funny I found while twitter-stalking online =) Quite a funny picture but only if you know who Antoine Dodson is and is familiar with The Bed Intruder Song. HILARIOUS stuff.
On a different note, since we're gonna be camping at our family friend's house today (due to house constructions) I think we get to go Easter Show finally! The family friends are planning to go later in the evening so I can't wait for that!

New 2011 Winter Wishlist and Must Haves Pt.1

Updated and edited on 26th April 2011
It's that time of the year already :) I know it's autumn at the moment but winter is just around the corner so I compiled a new 2011 edition of my Winter Wishlist (a compilation of everything I like but can't have). We'll see if I can afford any of this stuff later on in life.

Disclaimer: This is a "wishlist" of stuff that I can't afford. I didn't add anything in here that I know I can buy anytime.

Item 01 - Indio Leather Luxe Daydreamer Bag
If I ever get my hands on that bag I'll probably die happy. But seeing as its $448...I don't think I'll have enough money to spurge on it so freely. It's sad because I LOVE the colours and the tassles covering the bag.

Item 02 - Pink Large Beach Tote
This one is really simple and there's also a black edition but I prefer the pink. I don't usually buy pink things but I think it looks brighter and happier than the black one :D

Item 03 - Georgine Open Top Bootie
For this pair of ankle boots, I really like the ribbon detail. The fact that it's black makes it even better because it'll basically go with anything. That's one of the main reasons why I like black pieces.

Item 04 - Floral Canvas XL Daydreamer
Yay for floral patterns :) This bag is so artsy and so vibrant that it tinkles my heartstrings everytime I look at it =(
But it's so expensive and I probably wouldn't really spend that much money on a bag that I only want to LOOK at haha =D

Item 05 - Dennie Suede Wedges
Another pair of Juicy's shoes :) Once again..it's pink but I just REALLY LIKE IT. I wouldn't mind wearing this everywhere but I'm kind of scared that it might get dirty. I have this bad habit (not really a habit...more like bad luck) that all the light coloured items I own (such as light pink..baby blue and white) always end up getting really dirty. I wash them...but it's still not the same.

About the Brand
So that's my Juicy Couture selection!  This brand is still quite new to me. I've heard of it a gazillion times in the past but I never appreciated it until the beginning of this year when I fell in love with their accessories collection. They made everything I ever wanted in a bag possible so you can only imagine how THRILLED I was.

Item 01 - Sequin Bow Dress
I use to not like sequins because there's something about them that I don't like. But recently, I found myself purchasing more and more items with sequins on them and because of that, I developed a secret love for them. So here's one of my favourite dresses from the Bardot collection. It's simple and cute and if I was wearing it, I would add a black waist belt to it (because I can't seem to wear one piece outfits without having something in the middle like a belt).

Item 02 - Stripe Cowl Dress
Okay...I have always LOVED stripes and I have always wanted something like this to wear over my jeans. I don't really like to wear jeans because I don't think I look good in them but also because I don't have nice tops to match. So here's one of the few pieces that I WOULD wear jeans for.

Item 03 -  Military Double Breasted Jacket
I'm really attracted to military outfits because I LOVE the "military" look. I love clothing that are navy inspired or military inspired. I use to have something similar to this but in grey though I think it looks much more attractive in black.

Item 04 - Fluffy Metallic Jumper
ITS SO FLUFFY IM GONNA DIE!!
Yeah....enough said haha.

About the Brand
The first Bardot item I got was a strapless floral cocktail dress and I loved it to bits. So ever since then Bardot has become one of my favourite brands to shop for when out shopping.

Item 01 - Printed Kimono
I really like the floral designs on this one and it seems like something I would wear casually (maybe over tights or shorts) or formally (as a shawl over an evening dress).

This one is so simple I love it! I like that particular shade of green because it's so easy on the eye and I feel relaxed whenever I see it. I think this will make a really good casual dress and I would definitely buy it.

This is another spurge item I'll be getting if I ever become rich enough.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! I love baggy clothing but what I love more than baggy clothing is baggy knitted stuff so this Cardigan's like the answer to my prayers!!! It is so cute and so adorable!!!!! I really need something like this in my wardrobe especially since most of my clothes are dark and black/brown/grey. I'm trying to add more colours into my collection and this would be a DREAM addition.

Another baggy cardigan that I LOVE.

One of my favourite pairs of ankle boots!

About the Brand
The first ever ZARA store is coming to Australia and it will be at WESTFIELD SYDNEY!! I simply cannot wait to shop there. I've been so busy recently I haven't had the chance to go to the city...but that will be dealt with as soon as I have some free time :)

I love feathers and I love hair accessories with feathers incorporated into the design so this one is a MUST HAVE for me.

Above the Brand
I actually don't know anything about the Marley Rose brand except for the fact that their designers also work for holly wood celebrities.

I think I have a thing for tassles this season. I LOVE quilted pieces so I'm kind of in love with it.

Item 02 - Miss Tosca
This pair of shoes remind me of the Eiffel Tower...

I like the texture at the front and I think it will look very feminine with white stockings...but I guess it'll also look great with black ones :D

About the Brand
Now...Peep Toe shoes are pretty expensive so I usually go for the alternative (similar styles but cheaper brands) since they usually have very similar styles. But the real thing is always better. I love ankle boots...they elongate your legs SO MUCH.

Alright then! That's part 1 of my Winter Wishlist!
Until next time!

What's in Part 2?
